What are the Vidda Pro Trousers?
The Vidda Pros are a Trekitt favourite. These iconic, well-loved outdoor trousers are built-to-last and suitable for various outdoor adventures and lifestyles. Now updated with a more eco-friendly construction (that doesn't compromise their already renowned durability), they're staying ahead of the game. Wear them hiking, trekking, backpacking, travelling, for bushcraft, or even to work - they really are limitless!
What are they made of?
Updated for this season, the Vidda Pro Trousers are now made with Fjallraven's very own G1000® Eco material.
G-1000® Eco is made using a blend of 65% organic cotton and 35% recycled polyester, a much more eco-friendly alternative to regular G1000®. Though it features recycled and organic textiles, this material is incredibly durable and can resist abrasion from rugged, rocky terrain easily.
You can adapt G1000® materials to different personal preferences or climatic conditions using Greenland Wax. The wax allows you to customise the fabric's properties, such as wind and water resistance and breathability. When the weather begins to settle down, and you'd like to reduce the amount of wax applied, you can simply wash it out and start again.

What are their features?
These trousers provide plenty of storage options, including hand pockets, a map pocket, a multitool pocket and an internal phone pocket to keep your belongings safe and organised on the hill.
The knees and seat of the trousers are reinforced with extra fabric to increase longevity and weather resistance, so you don't end up with a soggy bottom, as Mary Berry would say, after sitting on a damp patch.
The knees are also pre-shaped to ensure maximum mobility at the joints, making it comfier for stepping high, and have small, subtle openings that allow you to insert knee pads (sold separately).
Press-button adjusters at the end allow you to taper the leg's fit and adapt them hems around various shoes and boots.
You can attach your footwear to the boot hooks to help seal the weather out and keep the trouser legs in place - these hooks have been redesigned to be more easily repairable, enhancing sustainability by keeping them in the loop.
Finally, an updated shape is more inclusive and uses a regular fit that gives you plenty of room to move without being excessive.
