What are the Terra Stretch Lite Shorts?
These are super lightweight, fast drying, figure-hugging shorts built for mountain adventures between spring and summer. They're versatile enough for hill walking, hiking, scrambling and even backpacking in warmer weather, whether embracing the warm summer sun here in the UK or exploring somewhere a little more exotic abroad.
What are they made of?
Unlike the usual Montane Terra Shorts, the Stretch Lite Shorts are made with Raptor Flex material. It offers a four-way stretch, allowing you to move freely through technical terrain, whilst being lightweight and packable, so even if you're venturing abroad, they won't take up much room in your kit bag. Though light, Raptor Flex is durable enough to withstand bumps and scrapes from regular use in various environments.
The material is coated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent), which enhances water resistance without using chemicals that are harsh to the environment.
What are its features?
These shorts come with a removable webbing belt which is lightweight, durable and super flexible. It's perfect for more technical mountain pursuits, as it's less likely to get in the way or hinder your movement when stepping high or stretching out. Plus, if you want to minimise weight or just find it comfier without, you can simply take it off, or even wear it with another pair of trousers!
The zipped fly and button closure is easy to use and gives the shorts a more traditional look.
For storage, two zipped mesh-lined hand pockets sit out of the way on each side. They make a great place to store smaller essentials like snacks and energy gels or double up as ventilation for working up a sweat. Simply leave the zips undone to allow airflow through the mesh bags inside.
For bulkier items, there's also a concealed zipped rear pocket that you can fit a mobile phone or small GPS in, to keep it out of the way as you move along your route.
