What are the Talus Ultra Shorts?
These 5-inch shorts are ultra-lightweight and breathable for optimum comfort during challenging endurance runs in the mountains. The high wicking fabric helps to wick away moisture to prevent that sticky, sweaty sensation for a barely-there feel.
What are they made of?
These shorts use a combination of Matrix™ Aero, Flexile™ 100 and Motiv™ Aero for an overall, ultra-breathable, super lightweight feel with fast wicking, odour control technology and a fluorocarbon free DWR.
Matrix™ Aero is the lightest fabric within the Matrix™ series. It is constructed with a single weave for a featherweight feel, soft on the skin and super-fast drying.
Flexile™ 100 is a lightweight, extra breathable nylon and elastane stretch knit. Made with a specialised blend of fibres, Flexile™ 100 offers a durable protective layer of moisture wicking technology whilst being flexible and supportive.
The lightest fabric in the Motiv™ range, Motiv™ Aero uses a single jersey knit construction with a fine mesh structure for enhanced moisture wicking and fast drying properties, creating a breathable, permeable layer on the skin.
Fluorocarbon free durable water repellent (DWR) – this water repellent offers light protection against rain showers, however, it doesn’t mean the material is fully waterproof. Using a fluorocarbon free treatment is much more sustainable than regular treatments because they don’t use chemicals that are harmful to the environment.

The technical fabrics used to create the Talus Ultra Shorts make them super breathable and lightweight - so weightless you might even forget you're wearing them!
With these shorts, you can wave goodbye to the sticky, heavy feeling of sweat and moisture collecting on the fabric - a common issue with wearing absorbent cotton-based clothing for high-intensity activity. The moisture wicking technology wicks away sweat from the skin quickly, helping regulate temperature whilst preventing radiant heat loss and improving overall comfort.
An ergonomically designed outer allows improved freedom of movement to help you perform your best throughout the session. The compressive waistband is fully elasticated for enhanced comfort and flexibility, moving with the body instead of restricting it.
A high wicking, lightweight liner brief helps the shorts feel secure and supportive against the body, with flatlock seams for a softer, smoother feel.
The integrated, secure back yolk pocket, constructed with lightweight mesh, is excellent for storage or additional ventilation when you need it. There is also a separate key pocket to keep your keys safe during fast paced activity.
The hems on the Talus Ultra Shorts are seam and stitch free, eliminating rubbing and chafing when worn for extended periods of working up a sweat.
Reflective branding finishes the design for those who run after hours, helping to increase visibility in the dark.
How do they fit?
These shorts fit slim, meaning they sit close to the body. A slim fit will help enhance the moisture wicking properties of the fabric and regulate body temperature.
