What are the Torque Mountain Shorts?

What are they made of?
These shorts are constructed with a specialised Matrix™ double weave stretch fabric. Matrix™ softshell fabrics are specifically chosen by Rab due to their enhanced performance qualities and UPF/UV protection, making the Torque Mountain Shorts an essential piece of technical clothing for your outdoor wardrobe!
What are their features?
The Matrix™ double weave stretch allows enhanced freedom of movement due to its flexible nature. The material is treated with a fluorocarbon-free durable water repellent (DWR). Fluorocarbon-free finishes are much more sustainable than other treatments, as they do not use any chemicals that will harm the environment. The DWR creates a light protective barrier on top of the material to improve water resistance and fight off sudden rain showers.
Helping to make challenging scrambles and steep ascents more comfortable, the part elasticated waistband feels smooth on the skin. It stretches to help improve freedom of movement. The waistband is fastened with a YKK® zip fly double snap closure and has belt loops for added security.
Four pockets in total offer a multitude of secure storage options. Two YKK® zipped hand pockets are suitable for keeping items handy such as snacks or a GPS. Store other valuables like keys or your phone in the thigh or rear zippered pockets - whichever feels more comfortable and has a lesser chance of obstructing complicated movements when full.
A long length gusset is a key detail on these shorts, or any outdoor bottoms for that matter - because nobody wants split pants! The gusset at the crotch allows increased mobility in crucial areas to take pressure off vital seams and add extra durability.

The Torque Mountain Shorts come in a regular fit. A regular fit means they sit a little looser on the frame, allowing improved freedom of movement to help you push through challenging ascents in the mountains.
