What are the Alpine Mountain Pro Shorts?

What are they made of?
These shorts are constructed with a Bluesign® approved recycled polyester and elastane blend, which feels smooth against the skin and provides a four-way stretch to tackle technical scrambles and steep ascents in comfort.
The fabric is treated with a sustainable, vegetable-based C0 durable water repellent (DWR). The treatment creates water resistance within the material to hold off rain showers or splashes from streams, puddles etc, keeping you feeling drier on the move.
Bluesign® approval is critical if you consider sustainability important when purchasing a product. It means during the manufacturing process, the environment, employees and consumers involved have been ethically considered and looked after.
What are their features?
The multi-flex waistband uses low-profile elastic to minimise bulk around key areas while improving the fit of the shorts and allowing them to move in sync with the body much easier.
At the front is a locking snap closure, which is easy to use and provides much better security and flexibility, so you don't have to worry about your shorts popping open when you get to a technical point of your route!
The pocketing system is really secure and offers a variety of options to suit different preferences. It has a zippered thigh pocket which is often used to carry bulkier items like a phone or GPS, while the low-profile hidden zip back pocket offers extra room for snacks and energy gels.
A gusseted crotch offers extra fabric where you need it most. This part of any outdoor short/trouser can be worked hard and strained, as you're using dynamic, intense movements and stretching more than you would when walking down a high street. The gusset at the crotch takes the pressure off vital seams and provides some extra stretch between the legs to avoid any embarrassing split pants accidents - keeping both your shorts and your dignity intact.
