What is the Ovik Wool Padded Jacket?
Fjallraven's Ovik Wool Padded Jacket is the perfect everyday jacket for outdoor or country lifestyles and activities such as walking the dog or taking the kids to the park. It uses a mixture of G1000® Silent Eco and Swedish wool padding to create a luxuriously warm, durable piece for autumn and winter.
What is it made of?
As mentioned, this jacket is constructed using G1000® Silent Eco with sustainable wool padding.
G1000® Silent Eco is designed to be quiet as you move around. It's smooth and soft yet still extremely durable like regular G1000®.
It uses a blend of 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton, which is lightweight, ventilating and hardwearing.
G1000® materials can be adapted to different personal preferences or climatic conditions using Greenland Wax. The wax allows you to customise the fabric's properties, such as wind and water resistance and breathability.

The padding comes from recovered Swedish wool combined with biodegradable corn starch fibres to create an all-natural insulation that is effective, soft and environmentally friendly.
What are its features?
The front fastening of this jacket uses a practical two-way zipper which is handy for dumping some heat without undoing the whole thing. A protective flap with popper buttons sits over the zip for extra weather protection while also giving it a more traditional country style.
Underneath the collar is a hidden strap that allows you to turn it up and hold it in place to protect against cold weather and wind.
In terms of storage, there are two buttoned hand pockets with envelope-style flaps and press studs to keep them fastened, perfect for a mobile phone, headphones or doggy bags. There's also one button chest pocket in the yoke seam and another zippered pocket inside for more valuable belongings such as your wallet or keys.
Reinforcements are placed across the elbows and over the yoke to prevent wear from general use, rough weather or wearing a pack.
