What is the Vidda Pro Wool Padded?
Based on the incredibly popular Vidda Pro jacket, this padded version incorporates a wool lining to add extra warmth during colder months of the year. It's ideal for general walking, bushcraft, trekking or simply as a nice, reliable everyday jacket.
What is it made of?
Outer fabric: The Vidda Pro features Fjallraven's legendary G-1000 Eco fabric. This fabric compromises of 65% recycled polyester and 35% organic cotton, making it environmentally responsible as well as nearly indestructible. The beauty of this fabric is that it can be adapted to suit the conditions. For example, if you require greater levels of wind and water resistance, apply Fjallraven's Greenland Wax to the shoulders, hood and over the pockets — if you'd rather increase the breathability as you're using it in warmer conditions, simply wash the wax out and you're good to go!
Insulation: Fjallraven use a high quality, fully traceable Swedish wool to insulate the Vidda Pro. Wool maintains its warmth for decades and provides warmth when wet or dry, making it a brilliant choice for anyone who is more concerned with durability and reliability rather than weight. 150g/m2 is used in the body and 90g/m2 is used in the sleeves for greater mobility.
What are the features?
Up top, you've got an adjustable hood which is lined with recycled wool to provide extra warmth. Moving down, a two-way zip allows you to ventilate or answer the call of nature without removing the jacket entirely. Cleverly, Fjallraven don't place seams on the shoulders as this is a point for moisture to ingress and can also rub when using a heavy rucksack. You've also got an adjustable hem drawcord and buttoned cuffs to seal in extra warmth.
Pockets isn't something you're short of — 8 in total! The outer drop pockets are lined with fleece for extra warmth if you forget your gloves.
