What is the Viper Hoodie?
The Viper excells at just about everything you could possbily want from a hoodie. Comfortable? Yup. Durable? Absolutely. Stretchy? Stretchy enough that you could play Twister in it. Anyway, you get the idea, it's a versatile hoodie that can be used for just about every activity, from climbing in the alps to wearing around town.
What is it made from?
The Viper is made from Polartec Thermal Pro with a mixture of Tencel yarns. Thermal Pro is a wind resistant, water resistant, warm, stretchy, highly breathable and temperature regulating fabric designed to offer the greatest warmth to weight ratio of any fleece fabric. Rather than a standard Polyester, Thermal Pro uses air channels within the fabric to trap warm air, increasing the warmth and decreasing the pack size. Even with this clever technology, it's no harder to care for than a standard fleece and feels exactly the same.
What are the features?
You get low profile flatlocked seams to reduce chafing, a snug under-helmet hood, a full length zip, a rear hang loop, two hand pockets, a zipped stash pocket, articulated arms and nice comfortable cuffs.
How does it fit?
The Viper features a long, slim fit that fits best over just a baselayer or t-shirt. It isn't a relaxed fit like your casual hoodies, so if you aren't using it for technical use then consider sizing up; for technical use, stick to your usual size to maintain the excellent warmth properties of Thermal Pro.
Summary
This technical hoodie is ideal for just about every mountain activity and features a brilliant fabric, a great fit and a subtle design that won't look out of place in a coffee shop or around the house.
