The Sirrus is designed specifically for women and has a clean and uncluttered design, superb ventilation and carrying comfort. This 36 litre size pack is perfect for longer days out in the hills or, if you can keep your kit to a minimum, it could be used for multi day trips.
The key to the load carrying comfort and stability is the Airspeed trampoline mesh back panel. A lightwire frame effectively transfers weight to the hip belt whilst the sprung mesh panel keeps the pack away from your back allowing full ventilation and breathability when in use. The ergonomically shaped shoulder straps and the hip belt are made with Spacermesh foam, a stable and comfortable EVA with cut-outs to allow air flow.
Access to the main compartment is through a traditional top lid which helps to keep out the weather whilst giving easy access to the bags contents. Talking of keeping the weather out, the Sirrus 36 features an integrated rain cover which can be quickly deployed when (not if!) the weather turns tasty. The main compartment is split into two by internal zipped divider which helps to keep wet dirty kit separate or the base compartment can be used to store a sleeping bag on overnight trips. One of the best features of the Sirrus 36 is the zipped front access to the main compartment; this allows easy access to the packs contents without having to delve down from the top.
You get all the usual and useful Osprey features with this pack such as the internal hydration sleeve, zipped hip belt pockets, stretch side pockets, integrated and detachable raincover and the brilliant Stow-on-the-go trekking pole attachment system. You can safely stash your trekking poles away when they are no longer required without having to remove the pack or pestering a mate to do it for you.
