The legendary and Trekitt favourite Black Diamond Spot headtorch has had a complete revamp for 2016. A new, more compact design and some fantastic features have made this brilliant torch even more brillianter!
It now pumps out a whopping 200 lumens of light, is IPX 8 rated waterproof and features the innovative and easy to use PowerTap technology that allows you to easily switch the brightness on-the-fly, think of it like a high and low beam switch in your car.
One Triplepower LED takes care of max lighting whilst seperate Singlepower white and red LEDS provide proximity lighting and max battery life. On max power the new Spot will illuminate up to 80 metres for 80 hours and on single power LED mode it will light up to 10 metres for an amazing 200 hours. All modes are dimmable to suit your needs suit your needs and the PoweerTap function gives you an instant boost when required by simply tapping the body of the lamp.
The Spot also features a built in battery life indicator to ensure you are never left in the dark. To preserve your night vision there is a separate Red LED mode that can be accessed without toggling through the White LED functions. Settings include full strength in proximity and distance modes, dimming, strobe, red night vision and lockout. Rated to IPX 8 the new Spot is fully submersible up to 1 metre for 30 minutes, so should you decide to go for a quick midnight swim when you are out and about you can be sure that the Spot will still work.
All this is a well-designed, fully waterproof and robust package weighing only 90g.
