The Terra Scout H is a lightweight headlamp, perfect for hiking, backpacking, camping or casual, everyday use, made from environmentally responsible materials.
What is it made of?
This lamp is made from plant fibres derived from hemp plants and recycled plastics to reduce the environmental footprint.
Hemp is extremely beneficial to our planet for numerous reasons. It uses little water to grow whilst breathing in C02, regenerating soil, preventing soil erosion and absorbing toxic metals, making it a great alternative to conventional materials that are less efficient and less beneficial to nature.
What are its features?
This lovely little lamp produces 350 lumens output to give you excellent visibility in various conditions. The light has two LED settings, including a white light for standard outdoor activities, reading and everyday use, and a red light for nighttime when visibility is low. The 'Intelligent Light' combines a long reach spot light and close flood light to provide the best visibility at different distances.
Overall, it's super easy to use! The Terra Scout has a large on/off button that is easy to locate, even when wearing chunky gloves. For multi-day activities, the lamp also has a battery level indicator to show you how much juice it has left, helping you to keep one step ahead and ensuring it won't go dead in your time of need!
Speaking of batteries, the Terra Scout H features hybrid technology, meaning you can use either AAA batteries or the rechargeable Silva Hybrid 1.25Ah Battery (included).
The Terra Scout Hhas an IPX5 rating, meaning both the headlamp and battery pack are water resistant. To give you an idea, IPX5 compares to something like a sustained, low-pressure jet spray or moderate rainfall.
Finally, the lightweight, wide headband feels really smooth against the skin to provide all-round, day-long comfort.
