What is the 9.5 Crag Eco Dry Rope?
It's a single rope with a lighter and more environmentally responsible design that works perfectly for climbing and mountaineering.
What are its features?
This single climbing rope is delivers lasting effectiveness in repelling water and dirt, according to UIAA standards, for maximum safety in tough environments. It achieves <1.5% in UIAA water absorption tests.
Thanks to the PFC-free 'Eco Dry' finish, the Crag Eco Dry Rope also features optimised abrasion-resistance for increased reliability, without the use of harmful forever chemicals. PFC-free means perfluorinated chemical-free. Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs), used to add water repellent to textiles, aren't able to break down, so once they reach nature via factory water waste, they stay in the ecosystem and contaminate living organisms, working their way up the food chain. PFC's are suspected carcinogens and have been known to affect mammal reproduction and hormone production. Therefore, many leading brands in the outdoor industry are now prioritising cutting out these chemicals entirely to contribute to a more responsible manufacturing process.
An abrasion-resistant centre mark helps you spot when your rope needs retiring and replacing, reducing the risk of accidents or injury.
The rope comes tangle-free and doesn't need to be uncoiled before you use it, so it's ready-to-climb as soon as it gets delivered.
