What is the Neon Rope Tarp?
It's an eyecatching climbing rope tarp designed to protect your gear from dirt, dust, and wet ground. It also doubles as a rope bag for easy transportation around the crag.
What is it made of?
This rope tarp comprises 100% recycled polyester, which is lightweight and smooth, to help lower the environmental impact of this product by keeping valuable materials in the loop.
The material is treated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) to enhance its weather resistance without causing further harm to the environment.
PFC-free means perfluorinated chemical-free. Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs), used to add water repellent to textiles, aren't able to break down, so once they reach nature via factory water waste, they stay in the ecosystem and contaminate living organisms, working their way up the food chain. PFCs are suspected carcinogens and have been known to affect mammal reproduction and hormone production. Therefore, many leading brands in the outdoor industry are now prioritising cutting out the use of these chemicals entirely to contribute to a more responsible manufacturing process.
Mammut works with FairWear to ensure safe, ethical working conditions in their factories, helping protect workers' rights and being considerate and responsible with their processes.
What are the features?
The Neon Rope Tarp comes with two colour-coded tie-in loops and provides space for 80 metres of rope, climbing shoes, and chalk bags. It allows you to keep your kit well-protected and clean when taking a much-needed rest from the wall.
The tarp uses a drawstring closure system that transforms it into a rope bag, making it easy to transport back to the van and vice versa.
Two large handles also make it super easy to carry, so moving around the crag will be a breeze.
