The Black Diamond Swift is their burliest Axe and has a full T' rating (technical). The one-piece hot-forged stainless steel head construction is exceptionally durable, while a single piece of aluminium tubing makes up the shaft of the axe. This is still super durable but also a lot lighter for extended periods of time. This is then plugged at the bottom end to improve performance when using in soft snow.
Black Diamonds 'FlickLock' system grip allows you to easily and quickly adjust the grip of the axe, even while wearing thick gloves.
The technical design of this modern axe allows it to be used in the most extreme environments, while the T rating means you're able to use it for climbing as well as general mountaineering.
