What are the Women's Outpulse Mid GTX?
The Outpulse Mid GTX Shoes are lightweight, waterproof hiking shoes that feature reliable Gore-Tex® technology. They have an adaptable design to suit a variety of activities and environments, whether hiking in mixed terrain or hill walking in wet weather.
What are they made of?
These shoes are constructed with partly recycled materials made from post-consumer PET bottles and material waste, helping to prevent them from going into landfill to decrease environmental impact.
Upper: The upper is made with synthetic material, which provides fantastic durability and protection for mixed trails.
Membrane: The upper is backed by a Gore-Tex® membrane to provide complete waterproof protection to the entire shoe. A repellent treatment is then applied to provide extra reinforcement, ensuring that water beads off the surface instead of soaking in.
Lining: Textile lining provides a breathable yet soft finish to enhance comfort.
Midsole: The midsole comprises Fuze Foam, one of Salomon's softest EVA foam compounds, with an Energy Blade TPU plate inside. Fuze Foam is engineered using less artificial polymers to deliver a more eco-conscious performance, enhancing the smoothness of your stride. The Energy Blade plate incorporates responsive technology to work in cohesion with the soft and springy midsole, allowing more dynamic movement in the foot.
Outsole: An All Terrain Contagrip® outsole gives you optimum grip on various surfaces, whether moving over wet, dry, hard or loose ground. It's incredibly durable and provides reliable performance all year round.
What are their features?
A SensiFit™ construction cradles the foot to optimise the fit and customise it around the shape of your foot. The shoes are fastened with a traditional eyelet lacing system, making them easy to put on/take off, while a toe cap reinforces the ends of the feet to keep your toes protected at all times.
The Outpulse Mids have an OrthoLite® die-cut sockliner insole. This insole is well cushioned to provide fantastic comfort yet provides ample breathability and durability for long days on the hill.
Inspired by their own ski heritage, Salomon has curved the midsole to give you a little extra spring in your step - it feels almost like walking on a cloud.
