What are the Traverse GTX Shoes?
They're super functional, lightweight running shoes that provide the comfort, security and grip of a mountaineering shoe. Clever huh? The Traverse GTX shoes deliver optimum performance for mountain runs and rocky trails, enhanced by a Gore-Tex® membrane, which offers reliable waterproof protection.
What are they made of?
The shoe's upper is light yet durable and abrasion-resistant, ideal for moving through rugged, rocky terrain. It uses a dual construction covering the entire midsole to guarantee extra support where needed most and further enhance longevity.
A Gore-Tex® membrane provides ample waterproof protection with its own 'Guaranteed To Keep You Dry' promise. Though waterproof, it's still highly breathable, helping to regulate temperature and allowing sweat to escape to prevent moisture build-up.
Inside the midsole is a specially developed torsion shank, which absorbs force and impact from the hard ground, helping to provide a more stable underfoot feel whilst minimising foot fatigue to help you go the distance.
These shoes have a POMOCA outsole made with Butylic compound rubber. The rubber provides a better grip on rocks in both wet and dry conditions, focusing on traction and gliding. The 'Gliding Path' design allows the foot to unreel and roll smoothly while reducing deformation energy.
What are their features?
The quick-lace system allows you to easily adapt the fit to help keep the foot securely wrapped inside the shoe. Once adjusted, you can simply tuck the quick lace system away into the stretch lace cover to keep it tidy and out of harm's way.
An athletic shape fits closer to the foot to help minimise movement inside without pinching, binding or rubbing on the skin.
