What is it made from?
Insulation: The Speed Insulation Jacket uses a synthetic Theremore Ecodown Fibre insulation made from 100% recycled polyester. This synthetic eco-insulation is more durable than traditional down insulation and can provide warmth even when wet, making it ideal for mountain adventures in unpredictable conditions. It lofts well, is low in bulk and is incredibly packable, making it ideal as a backup layer to stuff in your rucksack for pitstops or emergencies.
Fabrics: The Speed jacket uses a combination of a durable recycled polyamide face fabric and stretchy panels made from breathable and moisture-wicking polyamide and elastane. Both materials are created from tightly woven fibres for reliable wind resistance. The face fabrics are strategically placed to offer stretch and freedom of movement where it's most needed while maintaining the insulation and sandwiching it between a lightweight, breathable layer to maximise performance.
Both of the outer fabrics are wind and water-repellent to protect you in breezy weather and keep you dry in a light rain shower (although please note this doesn't make it completely waterproof).
What are its features?
The Speed Insulation Jacket features a hybrid construction of insulating baffles around the torso and stretchy panels to the arms, shoulders and hood, providing a great balance of warmth, breathability and weather protection with minimum bulk.
This jacket features a simple zipped front for quick and easy use while on the go. A close-fitting hood, elasticated hem and cuffs help to retain heat within the jacket, optimising warmth and protection on exposed trails.
For storage, there are two zipped hand pockets to keep your trail essentials close to hand, such as energy gels, trail snacks and a mobile phone. There is also a stow pocket, allowing the jacket to be easily packed into itself and stored in a backpack for when it's needed.
