What is the Betula GTX Jacket?
It's a waterproof shell jacket that offers excellent protection from the elements when the weather's not playing ball. The Betula GTX is perfect for hiking, trekking, scrambling and general outdoor activities where you'll need something reasonably light, durable and reliable.
What is it made of?
This jacket uses a combination of two-layer Gore-Tex® and Haglofs' own Climatic™ Rugged.
The two-layer Gore-tex® offers maximum waterproof protection and is made from 100% recycled polyester. It's lightweight, low in bulk and durable enough to withstand abrasion from rock and rough surfaces.
Climatic™ Rugged is a four-way stretch fabric that provides excellent freedom of movement, comfort and flexibility. It's constructed with a double weave and soft backing that feels smooth against the skin and has been developed to withstand a beating in tough terrain.
What are its features?
The jacket has an adjustable hood to optimise the fit and help keep the weather out. The front of the jacket is fastened with a full-length zip, with a placket behind for added weather resistance.
Two zippered hand pockets offer a secure place to stow hill snacks, energy gels, a mobile phone or small GPS device.
Cuffs are elasticated to enhance the fit around gloves, mitts or bare wrists, and you can adjust the waist using the adjustment cord to cinch the hem and help keep in the heat.
The torso of the jacket is mesh lined to enhance breathability, helping balance body temperature and keep you as comfortable as can be when working hard in the mountains.
The jacket is finished with a PFCEC-free DWR (durable water repellent) to reinforce weather resistance without the use of chemicals that cause damage to the environment.
