What is the Minimus Lite Jacket?
The Minimus Lite Jacket is a lightweight, waterproof jacket built for extended, intense sessions, whether trail or endurance running or even training for a marathon when the weather's a bit soggy. Its minimal feature set helps to reduce weight and bulk without compromising functionality.
What is it made of?
The Minimus Lite uses Pertex® Shield, a packable material that provides complete waterproof and windproof protection whilst remaining highly breathable to keep you comfy during intense sessions. For a shell material, it has a smooth, soft feel that is comfortable enough to wear all day long.
Pertex® Shield is treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) to force water and snow to bead off the material instead of soaking in. Keeping the outer dry allows sweat vapour and moisture to escape from the inside of the jacket to the outside, helping to regulate body temperature.
What are its features?
The fully taped seam construction enhances the jacket's waterproofness by ensuring water won't seep through the stitching.
The Minimus Lite has a fully adjustable hood, with three-points of adjustment that allow you to get an accurate fit around different head shapes and sizes or over various layers.
At the front, the two-way YKK Aquaguard® zip allows you to quickly dump heat without taking the whole jacket off - you can unzip the jacket from the bottom whilst keeping the top fastened, ensuring you're still protected from the rain. The zip also has an internal storm flap which helps to block rain and wind from sneaking through when the jacket isn't fully fastened.
Two hand pockets provide plenty of storage for small essentials like a mobile phone, snacks and energy gels. Both pockets are fastened with Aquaguard® zips to ensure your belongings are dry and protected inside.
Part elasticated, shaped cuffs offer improved freedom of movement and give you space to layer chunky gloves or mitts, should you need to.
Finally, you can cinch the hem using the drawcord adjuster with ease if you want to keep in more heat or block the wind from blowing up your jacket.
