Good question! It's a 26 litre retro-style backpack, based on a Lowe Alpine design from the early 1980's - it almost gives you the feel of being in your very own Stranger Things episode, minus the monsters...
The Pioneer 26 offers plenty of space and organisation for commuting to work, travelling and even day hiking.
What is it made of?
The Pioneer 26 has been developed over the years with a sustainable twist. It's made from recycled canvas material that is extremely durable and gives it a trendy, old-school look. The material is treated with Hydroshield that encourages light rain or snow to bead off the fabric for extra protection, in case you get caught in a quick shower.
Which carry system does it use?
As this backpack is designed for more casual activities and lifestyles, it doesn't get too techy with the carry system.
It has a soft, padded back panel that provides support where you need it and stops contents inside from jabbing you in the ribs.
Shoulder straps are also padded and thick to help spread the weight. You can adjust them with adjusters near the bottom of each strap to enhance and optimise the fit.
What are the features?
The zipped bucket-style opening gives you easy access to everything in the main compartment and helps you to see further into the pack. The lid has a built-in security pocket that offers a secure space for valuables like a wallet or car keys.
Inside the main compartment you'll find an internal organiser with a zipped pocket, allowing you to separate your items to keep them neat and well organised - you could put gym gear in one side and work essentials in the other. There's also an A4 sized organiser sleeve to keep files and documents from getting crumpled under your other belongings.
A zipped external padded laptop provides safe storage for your electricals. Not so eighties we admit, but an absolute essential for modern-day life!
A front pocket and lid pocket give you some additional room for smaller essentials that you don't want to be buried in the main compartment.
Leather lash points and leather zip pulls offer further durability in essential places and add a nice finishing touch to this already handsome pack.
