What is the Airox 18?
It's a breathable, body-hugging 18-litre backpack, ideal for multi-activity use across the seasons. Boasting a mesh, highly ventilated back system, it's perfect for day hikes, day trips with friends, and generally exploring the great outdoors in hot climates.
What is it made from?
The Airox 18 is constructed from a blend of highly durable materials that ensure its resilience in the great outdoors. The primary construction utilises partly recycled nylon in various thicknesses, delivering outstanding abrasion resistance and long-lasting durability - perfect for use in rugged terrain and the rigour of daily use.
The main body of the pack is constructed from robust 140D nylon, while strategically placed 210D ripstop panels enhance its structural integrity. Additionally, 420D reinforcements at the base provide an extra layer of strength, making the Airox 18 a reliable companion for everyday use, whether hiking, generally exploring or commuting to work.
What back system does it use?
The pack features Rab's Aerofit™ back system, which is engineered to be ultralight and fully ventilated for maximum carrying comfort when you're pushing the pace in warm climates. It features a super soft, body-contouring mesh back panel for maximum breathability and comfort for exploring in warm climates. The back panel is created in one continuous piece across the hipbelt for a seamless and exceptionally comfortable fit.
An integrated hipbelt with low-profile hip fins provides superb weight distribution, whilst an adjustable chest strap completes the design, providing added stability for venturing across varied terrain.
What are its features?
The Airox 18 features a generous 18-litre main compartment with a zipped top loading entry, ideal for storing all your daily essentials for a day out on the hill.
On the top of the pack, you'll find a small zipped valuable pocket with a key clip, ideal for keeping quick-access essentials such as a mobile phone, compact first aid kit, and car keys to prevent them from getting lost at the bottom of the pack.
A front mesh stash pocket provides additional storage for various quick-access items such as snacks or on-off layers and also doubles as a convenient place to air out wet kit while you're on the move.
Two stretch mesh side pockets provide the ideal home for water bottles or a camping stove, allowing you to maximise the space inside your pack for other on-the-hill essentials.
Two pockets on the shoulder straps, one zipped and one open, offer space for quick access snacks, energy gels and a soft flask to keep you fuelled throughout your adventure, without having to stop and rummage around in your pack when you need a quick energy boost.
Inside the main compartment, there is an internal sleeve that can accommodate a water bladder up to 2 litres with an H2O port for easy use, offering versatile hydration options for fast-paced adventures when you need quick access to fluids.
If you're a fan of walking poles, then you're in luck! The pack features pole loops with a bungee retention system, allowing you to easily attach the poles to your pack when not in use.
Last but not least, this backpack includes a lightweight rain cover designed for wet conditions where complete waterproof protection is needed.
