What is the Veil XP 20?
It's an ultralight and waterproof 20-litre running vest-style backpack that's highly stable and comfortable for moving fast in unpredictable conditions, whether trail running, fastpacking, or multi-day mountain running.
What is it made from?
The pack is constructed from 40D ROBIC® Siliconised Nylon Ripstop. This lightweight, yet extremely robust material is designed for excellent wear resistance and hardiness to tackle tough days and rough terrain in the mountains in unpredictable weather.
Rab has coated the pack in Hydroshield, which is a specialised water-resistant treatment designed to repel water, making it more resistant to moisture and rain. It gives the pack a hydrostatic head rating of 2,000mm allowing it to easily protect your belongings in unpredictable weather.
What backsystem does it use?
The Veil XP uses a standard running vest construction with a body-hugging harness for a secure, close fit and excellent mobility for various activities. The back panel is made from highly breathable spacer mesh for comfort in warmer climates and flexibility for a stable fit when you're pushing the pace hard. The double sternum strap is easily adjustable to provide a reassuringly secure fit. A hook and loop webbing belt with laser cut holes provides stability and breathability for moving fast across various terrains in various climates.
What are its features?
The pack features a waterproof construction with fully taped seams and a roll-top closure to keep your gear dry when the weather's not playing ball. This roll-top closure is secured with two adjustable side buckles to allow you to expand or compress the pack as your kit changes.
A large stretch mesh front pocket offers space for stashing on-off layers, quick-access gear or for airing out damp clothes on the go. Whilst two stretch mesh side pockets offer space for water bottles, snacks or smaller items of gear you want to grab quickly.
The harness features two soft flask bottle pockets for fuss-free hydration and two zipped pockets, allowing you to keep a mobile phone, GPS device, trail snacks and energy gels close to hand.
