What is the Basecamp Sleeping Bag?
The Basecamp sleeping bag is a super comfortable synthetic sleeping bag. It's an excellent choice for beginner campers and those who like to take home comforts with them when camping.
Less technical than other bags, this one from Robens prioritises luxury and comfort to give you a restful night's sleep. As the name suggests, this sleeping bag is best suited for use at your base camp, more relaxed camping trips when you can transport your kit in the car and overnight stays in a campervan.
What is it made from?
Insulation: This sleeping bag uses Robens One Thermo synthetic insulation for warmth. This insulation uses hollow polyester strands to trap a layer of warm air to prevent heat loss. It also produces a soft hand feel and a high loft to the insulation. Unlike down-filled products, this synthetic insulation will retain around 90% of its insulating properties when wet. Making this bag a better option in damper climates where you'll likely run into a rain shower or two.
Outer fabric: The outer is made from an ultra-soft brushed fabric constructed from polyester and Nylon for a durable finish.
Lining: A soft cotton lining with a 200 thread count offers a luxuriously cosy place to call home for the night.

The comfortable square-cut shape of this bag offers plenty of room for fidgety sleepers and those who like to spread out in their sleep. Whilst the soft cotton lining creates a relaxing environment to drift off to sleep gently.
Dual hood drawcords use different thicknesses, allowing you to adjust them by touch alone quickly, whilst the insulated face and neck baffles minimise drafts. The hood also features a zipped pillow pocket to keep your pillow in place while sleeping.
For temperature regulation, this bag features an insulated baffle that covers the entire length of the zip to block any cold air from trying to enter your sleeping bag. An anti-snag guard runs along the edge of the zip to stop it from getting caught and causing any damage to your bag.
A compression stuffsack is included to carry and store the sleeping bag. Synthetic insulation is suitable for storing in a smaller, more compressed environment. It has much better resistance to compression, allowing it to loft easier than down. However, a stuffsack is still meant to be stuffed! So do your best to cram your sleeping bag inside instead of neatly folding the bag away. Stuffing randomly helps prevent folds and creases in the insulation, preventing cold spots from developing when stored.
