What is the Outcast 44?
The Outcast is a climbing pack which opens like a duffel, carries like a trekking pack and has the organisation of a travel bag. It's an absolute must-have for any sport climber!
What is it made of?
It uses one of the toughest fabrics we've seen on a rucksack before, an 840D Ballistic Nylon with a water-resistant HydroShield coating. This fabric is equipped to deal with all the abuse you can hurl at it over the years and will even keep your kit dry in light showers.
What is the backsystem?
The Outcast uses Lowe Alpine's TRIFLEX backsystem. It features soft, breathable foam throughout the back, shoulders and hipbelt with channels cut out to circulate air. The hipbelt is pre-curved and takes the weight of the pack off your shoulders for increased comfort over longer durations.
What are the features?
The Outcast opens like a duffel/suitcase, giving you full access to all of your kit at once. Once inside, there's an internal security pocket, internal compression straps to stop your kit rolling about during transit, 4 internal gear loops, an internal mesh divider and a useful key clip. Externally, you've got large zip pulls which are easy to use with bulky gloves, a pocket for a guide book, a clip-stick pocket, top and side carry handles, more compression straps and a stretchy mesh side pocket. A rope tarp is even included to keep things neat and tidy.
