What is the Greenland Pile Fleece?
The Greenland Pile Fleece is a warm, cosy jacket made of a thick pile fleece. It carries traits from the classic Fjallraven Greenland Jacket over into an insulative piece that's perfect as a midlayer for the winter or an outer layer for cool yet dry conditions.
What is it made of?
This fleece is made of polyester that is 33% recycled and G1000® Eco reinforcements.
Overall, it's a much heavier piece than other fleeces in the range but provides exceptional warmth for more everyday outdoor activities, lifestyles and harsh winters. The Greenland Pile is much less of a technical fleece and more of a casual piece.
The recycled polyester fibres mainly come from recycled post-consumer PET bottles or sometimes unusable fabric offcuts and trims from factories, helping reduce air, water and soil contamination and waste that would otherwise be going to landfill.
Pocket flaps and elbow reinforcement patches are made from G1000® Eco - one of Fjallraven's signature materials.
It uses a blend of 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton, which is lightweight, ventilating and hardwearing.
G1000® materials can be adapted to different personal preferences or climatic conditions using Greenland Wax. The wax allows you to customise the fabric's properties, such as wind and water resistance and breathability.

What are its features?
The front of the fleece is fastened with a two-way front zipper, allowing you to get some extra ventilation when you need it without having to undo the whole jacket.
For storage, there are two chest pockets with buttoned envelope-style flaps and two hand pockets which are deep and will fit a mobile phone, wallet or an extra pair of gloves easily. The hand pockets are fastened with easy-to-use concealed buttons for a smart, minimal look. As previously mentioned, the flaps are made of G1000® Eco, which adds durability and weather resistance to the pocket's entry.
G1000® Eco is also placed across the elbows for reinforcement to minimise wear. These patches look stylish and subtle, in a similar shade to the fleece.
Elastic edging on the cuffs and the hem feels comfortable and provides greater freedom of movement to suit any activity.
