What is the Ascendor Pull-On?
It's a soft and stretchy fleece midlayer that uses body-mapped fabrics to provide the perfect balance of warmth and breathability. Its clever temperature-regulating construction makes it excellent for versatile active use, climbing, hiking, biking and dog walking in colder conditions.
What is it made of?
This fleece combines different types of Thermic™ G to create a midlayer that is warm and breathable.
The main fabric uses Thermic™ G Grid Backer recycled polyester fleece that helps trap warm air and reduce overall weight. The second fabric is Thermic™ G Micro grid backer recycled polyester fleece which is much lighter and helps to promote better temperature regulation. Though warm, Thermic™ G is really breathable and can wick away moisture quickly, leaving you feeling fresh during intense mountain activity.
What are its features?
The fabric is body mapped to help regulate temperature more efficiently when this fleece is worn as a midlayer, or when a backpack is worn over the top. Soft, slightly thicker Thermic™ G fleece is used across the front torso, hips, shoulders, and upper arms - areas that may be more exposed to the cold or that could lose heat much quicker. The lighter Thermic™ G grid fleece is placed over the lower arms and centre back, promoting better breathability and improved temperature regulation.
The centre zip runs halfway down the fleece, working perfectly as some extra ventilation when you need it. It uses a sturdy YKK® VISLON® zip. The fleece lined chin guard at the top feels really smooth next to the skin, so you can keep this pull-on zipped up for long periods without it catching against your face.
On the chest is a roomy, mesh lined pocket for keeping valuables such as a mobile phone, GPS device, or snacks close. When empty, you can also leave the pocket open for some extra airflow if you don't fancy undoing the main zip, or if you're still too warm.
Flatlock seams run throughout the entire construction, which feel slim and soft against the skin, improving overall comfort so you can wear this on long, multi-day ascents without chafing.
Elasticated binding features at the cuffs and hem to cinch them closer to the body, keeping the heat in and the weather out. The hem is dropped at the rear, allowing more coverage for the lower back, helping to insulate vital areas in cold climates properly.
How does it fit?
This fleece fits slim, allowing you to layer up under a shell jacket or even a down jacket in tougher, wintry weather.
