What are the Duality Gloves?
These are the ultimate outdoor winter gloves.
Whether you're out in the mountains, building a snowman at home with the kids, or even by yourself (no judgement here), the Duality Gloves are excellent multi-purpose gloves for cold conditions.
Built with Gore-Tex® waterproof inserts, PrimaLoft® insulation and leather reinforcements, they're super tough, warm, comfortable and protective.
What are they made of?
The main material used is Montane's very own Granite Stretch softshell with a PFC-free DWR. Granite Stretch offers plenty of flexibility, breathability and water resistance, thanks to its durable water repellent (DWR). PFC-free DWR's are much more environmentally friendly than regular treatments, as they don't use per- and poly-fluorinated compounds that contain harmful, artificial chemicals.
The Gore-Tex® waterproof insert offers reliable waterproof protection that is still breathable. Gore-Tex® has billions of tiny pores too small to let water droplets travel through. However, the pores are big enough to let water vapour from sweat escape through the membrane, keeping you dry from both external and internal sources of moisture.
The palm and fingers have been reinforced using goat leather, which is highly durable and supple, making it not only extremely robust but comfy too!
These gloves are insulated with 55% recycled PrimaLoft® Gold - a synthetic insulation that offers plenty of warmth, packability and thermal efficiency. Synthetic insulation has a considerable advantage over down when the conditions are wet, as it doesn't lose its heat or dampen down to a soggy mess. It stays warm and lofted.
The combination of insulation and technical materials creates a recipe for a great, all-round winter glove that can survive a beating from harsh weather. What more could you ask for?
What are the features?
The Duality Gloves have a brushed microfleece lining for next-to-skin comfort. They are incredibly dextrous, providing plenty of movement for handling kit or even running errands closer to home, and feel snug and cosy enough to wear all day long. These gloves also have a strong leather hook and loop adjuster at the wrist, meaning you can optimise the fit over a glove liner, on bare wrists or underneath a shell jacket.
