What is the Chonos Jacket?
The Chonos Jacket is a super cosy, high pile fleece that oozes fluffiness and warmth to keep you feeling toasty throughout winter. It's the perfect cold weather staple, suitable for a range of activities like heading out for a hill walk at the weekends, taking a refreshing stroll before work or even snuggling up at home.
What is it made of?
Montane has used 100% recycled Thermo 300 Eco fleece with Cotton-feel Tactel® overlays on the elbows to create the Chonos Jacket.
The material has a thick, fluffy texture and provides exceptional warmth for long, cold winters. Thermo 300 Eco is 100% recycled and provides an even spread of insulation whilst being more sustainable too!
The cotton-feel Tactel® overlays give the jacket a more trendy, old-school look. They are soft and flexible yet durable enough to withstand abrasion from general use. These patches help to prolong the lifespan of the fleece by reinforcing high wear areas.
What are its features?
As this jacket is much less technical than other jackets in Montane's range, it has a much smaller feature set.
There is a close fitting collar that sits near to the skin for optimum warmth, without feeling uncomfortable and restrictive.
The front of the jacket is fastened with a full-length YKK® zip which is easy to use and could even be unzipped midway for extra ventilation during intense activity.
There are two hand pockets fastened with zips for storage. These pockets have plenty of room for hill-snacks, keys, a purse or headphones. You could unzip these pockets for extra ventilation if you're working hard, or they also make perfect hand warmers on cold days when you've forgotten your gloves!
Finally, a low profile hem and cuffs help reduce the bulk of the construction, feel much nicer against the skin, and give this cosy jacket a neat and tidy finish.
