What are the Terra Edge Pants?
These are the lighter weight option to their cousin trouser (the Super Terra Pants), but Montane has packed in all the features you need! The Terra Edge Pants are exceptionally breathable, wind-resistant, water-resistant and rugged. We think they're one of the better lightweight mountain trousers available and can be used for just about every activity, whether that's climbing, walking, mountaineering, backpacking, travelling or just generally living in.
What are the Terra Edge Pants made from?
Montane has made these technical mountain pants using their GRANITE fabric. This incredibly durable fabric using double weave nylon construction to provide abrasion resistance, stretch and breathability with a supple canvas feel. Coated with a durable water repellent treatment, these pants will shed light rain, and if you do happen to get caught out, they dry exceptionally quickly and are comfortable even when wet.
What are the features?
Pre articulated knees allow for ease of movement, especially when stepping high during climbing and scrambling, and triple stitching is used in vulnerable areas to increase durability.
You get plenty of pockets for all your essentials; 2 zipped hand pockets, a zipped rear pocket, and a large thigh pocket on the right side. The hand pockets are mesh-lined, so you can leave them unzipped for added ventilation plus, there are two zipped mesh-lined thigh vents for when you are working extra hard.
The waistband features a soft microfleece lining to wick away moisture and reduce rubbing. Elastication on the hips gives flexibility on fit if you are slightly between sizes, and a removable webbing belt with a low profile buckle provides secure fastening. There are also press stud adjusters at the bottom of the legs to give a snug fit over your boots.
