What are the Orbital Pants?

What are they made of?
The Orbital Pants are crafted with a three-layer Drilite® stretch fabric developed by the Mountain Equipment brand.
Drilite® stretch - Drilite® fabric features a monolithic membrane that provides the ultimate wet weather protection whilst offering a lightweight and flexible feel. This specialised stretch material promotes improved freedom of movement and mobility, essential when tackling steeper inclines or using dynamic moves on the rock.
What are their features?
The durable, stretch fabric offers an insulating, waterproof layer to fight nasty weather while still feeling super comfy and manoeuvrable.
A gusseted crotch provides a little extra flexibility in key areas to help improve freedom of movement and take some of the pressure off vital seams - because nobody wants split trousers on the top of a mountain! This detail is essential on climbing pants or apparel for serious outdoor enthusiasts as it helps to give the seams a much longer lifespan and increases the overall durability of the design.
There are two pockets for storing essential items that you may want to keep handy, such as snacks, energy gels, a phone or GPS. These pockets are secured with YKK® WR zips for extra security, giving you peace of mind to do what you love best whilst feeling secure and protected.
An integrated belt means you don't have to worry about wearing a chunky, ill-fitting belt or splashing extra cash for one more suited to outdoor use.
At the ankle, offset zips offer a quick and easy option to customise the fit of the trousers over chunky hiking boots. An internal gusset panel provides extra width around the ankle - simply unzip to create a wider fit if you need a little more room for your footwear underneath.
How do they fit?
These pants have an Alpine fit which means they are more trim than regular pants. A slimmer fit is much better to enhance breathability and temperature regulation, helping to optimise comfort whilst balancing the body's microclimate.
