What are the Tarn Shorts?
These are lightweight shorts designed for hot days on the hill. They're comfy, durable and packable enough for multi-day adventures, summer hikes, trekking, backpacking, and even travelling the world visiting multiple destinations.
What are they made of?
These shorts are made with TecWEAVE™ - a wind-resistant, stretchy, durable double-weave nylon. This material has a smooth outer face and is incredibly packable, making it easy to fold away into a backpack or kit bag when not worn. It's treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish to enhance weather protection by encouraging light rain or drink spills to bead off instead of soaking in. However, please note this won't make the shorts fully waterproof.
What are their features?
A tricot-lined, elasticated waistband improves mobility and comfort for long days of exploring. It has a built-in belt that helps to minimise bulk compared to using regular belts while optimising the fit.
Two hand pockets are great for storing small essentials such as trail snacks and energy gels, while the zipped thigh pocket is excellent for bulkier or more valuable items that you want to keep on hand, such as a mobile phone or passport. Pocket bags are constructed with mesh to help increase airflow when left open, allowing you to get extra ventilation for humid conditions.
