What is the Atmo Jacket?
It's a dedicated waterproof climbing jacket designed for minimal adventurers and climbers counting every gram. The Atmo Jacket is perfect for alpine and expedition climbing, thanks to its protective, rugged design and functionality.
What is it made of?
The Atmo is made with recycled three-layer Drilite® fabric, which is M.E's proprietary waterproof fabric. No Gore-Tex®? No problem! Drilite® fabric features a hydrophilic polyurethane membrane that provides the ultimate wet weather protection whilst remaining lightweight, breathable and flexible. It also features a solution-dyed backer (a better alternative for the environment) and an FC-free DWR. Drilite® combines years' worth of knowledge and experience, gathered by Mountain Equipment, to provide optimum performance for mountain use.
Materials used to create this product are Fair Wear approved. Fair Wear is a non-profit organisation that promotes fair labour conditions for factory workers worldwide. It works directly with M.E factories to ensure ethical conditions for employees and keeps track of the progress these factories are making to maintain Fair Wear standards.
What are its features?
The Atmo is built with a 'Super Alpine HC Hood', Mountain Equipment's largest hood featuring climbing helmet compatibility. It provides ample shelter from the worst weather and features cordlocks to adjust and dial in the fit.
A seamless face panel provides maximum comfort when the jacket is fastened by minimising rubbing against the skin. There's one chest pocket to provide storage for small essentials such as trail snacks, energy gels or gloves, keeping them easily within reach, even when wearing a harness.
A two-way front zip allows for ventilation from the bottom and also makes a harness more accessible. These zipped features come with YKK® Aquaguard® zips, which seal rain and snow out, keeping you and your belongings completely dry.
This jacket is also built with an Alpine fit that has articulated, pre-shaped sleeves that enhance freedom of movement. Adjustable, laminated cuffs and dual-tether hem drawcords offer versatility and durability for rugged environments.
