What is the Up Sydney?
The Up Sydney is a 22-litre rucksack designed for everyday use. It's ideal for commuting, light walking, travelling and everything urban. To top it off, it's made using sustainable materials and is Bluesign approved, but more about that below.
What is it made of?
It's made using a mixture of 300D and 500D recycled polyester fabrics — the 300D is used throughout the main body of the pack and the 500D is used in high-wear areas such as the base. As well as being sustainable, these fabrics are Bluesign approved, meaning the fabrics are sustainable, produced safely and are fit for purpose.
Which backsystem does it use?
It uses Deuter's Contact back system, a simple, reliable and comfortable system made using foam and mesh. Raised pieces of foam on the shoulder blades and lower back support the weight of the pack and create a channel in the centre for air to escape.
What are its features?
Starting with storage, you've got one large zipped front pocket with two internal stash pockets to organise your bits and bobs, a padded laptop compartment in the main body of the bag (up to 15"), a tablet compartment, an internal valuables pocket with a key clip, one zipped side pocket and one open side pocket for drinks or spare layers and lastly a handy smartphone pocket.
Other useful features include a padded base that allows the bag to stand up on its own, an adjustable and detachable sternum strap, a detachable waist belt to keep the pack close to you while commuting, a padded carry handle and a magnetic lid opening.
