What is the Army Leather Glove?
Perfect for snowsports and high altitude mountaineering, the Army Leather Glove uses Gore Grip technology and a tough goat leather to provide maximum dexterity without sacrificing warmth or protection.
What is it made of?
Starting from the inside, you've got a moisture wicking inner fabric coupled with a Gore-Tex membrane to provide total water and windproofing. Membranes are usually sandwiched between layers of fabric and move around a little in the same way, however the Army Leather uses Gore Grip technology, meaning the membrane is tacked down in various places to avoid layers of fabric slipping. This increases dexterity and security when handling tools, poles, goggles, bags, etc.
Surrounding this clever tech is a super tough goat leather outer. This grips securely to poles and tools, provides huge amounts of protection and typically lasts longer than synthetic counterparts (with a little care).
What are the features?
You've got elastic around the wrist, a pull strap with a velcro closure, a pull strap with a snap button and a snow lock; all of these combine to seal out the cold and trap in the warmth you're creating. An eyelet allows you to clip them to a rucksack, belt or harness, while included handcuffs allow you to remove the gloves without fear of losing them.
