What is the Pivot Hooded Jacket?
The Pivot is an ultra-warm, breathable, stretchy and comfortable hooded jacket combining both fleece and wool in its construction. It's designed for high-output activities in unforgiving mountainous conditions.
What is it made of?
It's made using Pontetorto Technowool, a technical mix of traditional fleece (polyester), merino wool and elastane. The polyester content provides durability and warmth, the merino wool adds extra warmth and odour resistance, while the elastane makes it super-stretchy. The three fabrics combined result in a jacket that is exceptionally comfortable to wear, breathable enough for high-intensity activities, yet tough enough for general mountain abuse.
What are its features?
An elasticated hood adds valuable warmth when moving slower, while a laminated chest pocket and two hand pockets provide storage for essentials. An elasticated hem and cuffs trap warmth and seal out the cold. To increase comfort next to skin, M.E have used cover stitched seams throughout the jacket.
How does it fit?
It features a M.E's 'Active' fit, meaning it's designed to sit close to you with minimal layers underneath. The close fit means the fabric can wick away sweat and keep you warmer for longer.
Where does the Pivot fit in the layering system?
It can either be used as a super warm midlayer or a lightweight outer layer when the weather is on your side or you're moving a little quicker.
