What is the Venturesafe EXP65?
Designed to house days, weeks or even months worth of kit at a time, the Venturesafe is a behemoth of a bag for those who aren't looking to scrimp on space. On top of the masses of space, it also features an array of clever security features, but more about that below.
What is it made of?
The key to the Venturesafe's advanced security credentials lies in its clever fabrics. It's made using a tough 420D nylon with stainless steel wire mesh placed behind to stop most blades slicing through and revealing your belongings. Don't worry, a softer polyester has been placed on the inner of the bag to stop your laptop/tablet getting scratched.
Which backsystem does it use?
Now, usually we'd not cover the backsystem of a travel bag in its own paragraph, but this one warrants it! It's a highly padded, ventilated system made using a mixture of soft foam and mesh. The back length can be adjusted in 6 stages to suit a wide range of users and a supportive hipbelt allows you to comfortably carry 65 litres worth of kit without so much as a creak from your lower back. Both the shoulder straps and hipbelt use a similarly comfortable fabric that grips securely to clothing yet doesn't feel uncomfortable on bare skin.
What are its features?
As well as a cut-resistant outer fabric, the main zip is puncture-proof (most zips can be opened with a biro!) and lockable. Pacsafe even includes a stainless steel cable to allow you to fasten the bag to an object (table leg, chair, etc).
Aside from all the clever security malarkey, the Venturesafe is just a nice, well-made bag that doesn't look out of place in a city centre or in an airport. It features external attachment points for bulky items such as a jacket or sleeping bag, external compression straps to secure the load of the bag when not fully packed, a clear ID pocket for faster check-ins, internal organisation pockets for all those small bits and bobs, an attachment point for your keys, a pen loop and side pockets for water bottles.
