What are the Puez Mid PTX Boots?
The Puez Mid PTX are breathable, waterproof boots that feature an incredibly durable construction to last on rocky mountain paths and regular adventures. Their versatile, rugged design works well in any season or terrain and provides the grip, support and comfort required to keep you moving.
What are they made of?
Upper: These boots feature a highly abrasion-resistant upper made with ripstop PE, which is incredibly durable and can resist bumps and scrapes on jagged rock and sharp terrain. The upper is also reinforced with a rubber rand for added longevity while protecting the sides of your feet and toes.
Lining: PowerTex lining inside the boots provides reliable waterproof protection with good breathability to prevent sweat build-up. This waterproof membrane is PFC-free, avoiding those harmful 'forever chemicals' and helping to prevent further pollution to our precious environment.
Midsole: A performance EVA midsole provides ample cushioning and shock absorption to help protect your feet from impact when moving on hard ground. This foam adds little weight to the load, helping to reduce grams overall.
Outsole: POMOCA Alpine Trekker outsoles are built for trekking over mixed terrain such as rocky mountain paths or soft mud. Though versatile, they still provide good grip and stability to keep you feeling confident no matter where you are.
Footbed: A recycled mesh CFF provides comfort, cushioning, and ample breathability underfoot. The added volume reducer, made with recycled rubber and EVA foam, allows these boots to accommodate different-sized and shaped feet whilst making them feel more comfortable and secure.
Materials used in this product are PFC-free and socially monitored to contribute to a better Corporate Social Responsiblity practice. Any chemicals used to create these boots are also verified for testing and safety.
What are their features?
The mid-height of these boots allows for extra protection around the ankles, helping to shield them from dirt, debris and jagged rock.
Salewa has incorporated its '3F system' using strong Kevlar® cables to provide the most secure fit possible. The system ensures a blister-free, accurate experience by attaching a thin wire to two of the lacing hooks, which wraps around the heel of the boot.
A climbing lacing system extends down to the toes, allowing you to customise the tension and fit down the entire length of the boot.
The anti-rock heel cup locks your foot in place to ensure torsional stability; this stability is amplified with the added heel stabiliser on the rear of the boot.
Finally, an external toe cap provides extra protection for scrambles and light climbs, ensuring you won't kick or crush your toes against the rock.
