What are the Session 2 Shoes?
They're versatile, outdoor lifestyle shoes, perfect for days at the crag followed by a cheeky pint at your local pub afterwards. Their functional design uses sustainable materials and has a minimal style that looks at home on the hill and in the city, so you can literally wear them anywhere.
What are they made of?
Unlike the original Session shoes, the Session 2's are made with partially recycled materials and have a lighter construction than their predecessors. The Enduro knit upper is durable and breathable, made from 40% recycled yarn to decrease its environmental impact and help prevent excess materials from going into landfill. This upper is reinforced with a welded TPU reinforcement for added durability and abrasion resistance, ideal for walking on rocky terrain or for everyday use.
Webbing loops are also made from 25% recycled materials without compromising durability and performance. The lining and footbed are constructed from 100% recycled mesh for optimum breathability, which also helps to keep the weight down to a minimum, making these shoes comfortable to wear during any season.
A tuned EVA midsole provides cushioning and stability. This midsole is made with Bloom. Bloom is an algae-infused, high-performance foam designed to reduce environmental impact compared to standard materials. Bloom Algae Foam minimises the use of fossil fuels with algae harvested from harmful blooms, helping to restore a balance to our natural ecosystems.
The BD BlackLabel-Street sole provides grip for approaches or even the commute to work. This sole is made with a sticky rubber compound that grips to rock well, giving you more traction on smoother surfaces.
What are their features?
The stretch-fit heel and elasticated heel strap give you easy transitions when putting the shoes on or taking them off by providing a little extra flexibility where you need it. This part of the heel also folds down easily for slip-on functionality if you're feeling a little lazy or rushed for time.
A comfortable sock-like 'bootie fit' hugs the foot comfortably without feeling tight or creating unnecessary pressure points.
Webbing loops provide tagging or stowing options for longer adventures and climbing trips, turning these into convenient approach shoes that are easier to carry around.
A rubber rand around the toe provides protection for walk-ins on rocky, uneven terrain without adding excessive weight and bulk, meaning they won't look out of place when you hit the town afterwards.
