What are the Supercross 4 GTX?
They're waterproof trail running shoes that offer superb grip on damp, soft ground and optimum comfort for longer routes. The Supercross 4 GTX provide reliable weather protection without compromising breathability, thanks to their Gore-Tex® membrane.
What are they made of?
These shoes are constructed with bio-content from bio-sourced processes (including vegetal farming waste and vegetal fibres). They also contain partly recycled materials made from post-consumer PET bottles and material waste, helping to prevent them from going into landfill to decrease environmental impact.
Upper: The upper is made from a ripstop woven fabric that provides excellent durability and abrasion resistance for mixed terrain. A repellent treatment offers extra reinforcement to the Gore® membrane, ensuring that water beads off the surface instead of soaking in.
Membrane: The upper is backed by a Gore-Tex® membrane to provide complete waterproof protection to the entire shoe.
Lining: Textile lining provides a breathable yet soft finish to enhance comfort.
Midsole: The midsole is made from Fuze Foam, one of Salomon's softest EVA foam compounds. Fuze Foam is engineered using less artificial polymers to deliver a more eco-conscious performance, enhancing the smoothness of your stride.
Outsole: The Mud Contragrip® outsole uses deep, sharp, chevron-shaped lugs underneath the foot that maximises grip on loose, soft and uneven surfaces. It's constructed from a compound that prioritises adhesion to give you maximum stick on the ground.
What are their features?
A Quicklace™ lacing system lessens bulk compared to a traditional style lace fastening. It allows you to tighten the fit of the shoes with just one simple pull, making it quick and easy to put on or remove the shoes or adapt the fit. Once adjusted, it can be tucked away into the tongue pocket to prevent it from snagging or catching.
The lacing system works in tandem with the Sensifit® construction, helping to clamp the foot in place without uncomfortable tension from conventional laces.
