90-day returns period

We hope that you are perfectly happy with your order from Trekitt, but we understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. We offer a 90-day returns period from the date of purchase and aim to process all returns within 48 working hours of receipt. During exceptionally busy periods, returns may take up to 7 working days to be processed.

We do not offer a free returns service. If using the DPD Returns Portal, a charge of £5 will be deducted from your refund when processed. Returns from Highlands and Islands using theDPD Returns Portalwill deduct £15.50 from the order refund. Large DPD returns will have £6 deducted from their refund. (Specifications are over 5kg, and over Length of 30cm x width of 30cm and height of 10cm). If customers are returning items using their own postal service, and our returns form, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

When will I receive my refund?

Once our Returns Team has processed your refund, you will receive a new e-receipt showing the returned item(s). After this you should expect to see your funds back in your account within 3 to 5 working days, depending on how your card provider processes refunds.

Refunds can only be made to the original payment method and are normally processed within 2 working days, however, during busy periods they can take up to 7 days.

We want to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible, the first step for this is reducing our waste. Therefore, please note that we will always offer a professional repair in the first instance; if the product can be repaired.

This may involve your product being sent back to our suppliers or to a professional repair company. Please note that due tovaried procedures, warranty claims and repairs can take between 2 and 4 weeks to be concluded

What is the Alpine 850 Nano Hoodie?

It's an ultra-light down jacket that uses 850FP ExpeDRY™ goose down to provide an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio. With an uncompromising focus on thermal efficiency, the Alpine 850 Nano excels in the coldest environments and fast and light adventures where every gram counts. It's ideal to be worn as a super warm midlayer or lighter outer layer when ski touring, mountaineering and tacking alpine missions.

What is it made from?

The Alpine 850 Nano is constructed from ultralight 10D Pertex® Quantum and is predominantly filled with ExpeDRY™ 90/10 goose down insulation, with PrimaLoft Gold panels in high moisture areas.

Insulation: Montane has used 100g of ExpeDRY™ 90/10 goose down for an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio. The goose down has a fill power of 850 and is RDS and Track my Down™ certified, reassuring you that it has come from responsible, ethical sources.

ExpeDRY™ by Allied Feather is an innovative, chemical-free, non-toxic alternative to hydrophobic-treated down. ExpeDRY™ uses chemical-free gases to permanently bond non-toxic gold particles to the individual down clusters, aiding the evaporation of water molecules, causing the down to dry faster and stay dry in high humidity and extreme conditions. This highly effective ability to move moisture helps the down retain maximum loft (fluffiness) and deal with various sources of moisture such as rain, snow and sweat, making it ideal for various environments and activities.

Montane has strategically placed PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation panels on the underarm gusset and front collar for enhanced durability, warmth, and moisture management. PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation is breathable, warm and highly efficient, with a lower bulk and weight than most synthetic insulation. It uses small fibres thinner than human hair to provide maximum thermal efficiency; the thinner the fibres, the warmer the insulation will be. Synthetic insulation is also effective when wet, making it a robust choice for high-moisture areas around the face and the underarms.

Can't quite catch the lingo? Here's a quick breakdown.

Fill power - Fill power measures the warmth and efficiency of the down, alongside its ability to loft/fluff up. A rating of 850 fill power means that 1oz of this down fills 850 cubic inches of space when fully lofted.

RDS - The Responsible Down Standard ensures that the down is sourced from happy birds who haven't been plucked and have been well cared for.

Track My Down - Track My Down is a portal that can be accessed through SourceTRACK™ to learn about the fill used in your individual jacket. It allows you to find the source region of the down, verified third-party tested final fill power, cleanliness, content analysis and links to reports and certificates. To access this information, you will find a SourceTRACK™ lot number printed on the garment's hang tag, which you can enter into the Track My Down website.

Hydrophobic - Hydrophobic down dries out and lofts quicker, resisting moisture from light rain or sweat and condensation that may build up inside the jacket during intense mountain activity. PFC-free Hydrophobic finishes like HyperDRY™ are not fluorinated and therefore don't cause damage to the environment like previously used fluorinated treatments.

Outer and lining: The Alpine 850 Nano's outer shell and lining are constructed with a durable and lightweight recycled 10D Pertex® Quantum with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent).

Pertex® Quantum provides a lightweight, soft feel and helps improve the efficiency of the insulation by trapping still air. It's 100% recycled yet still has a fantastic level of performance, providing effective windproof protection and optimised heat retention.

The ultralight Pertex® Quantum fabrics gently encase the down insulation, showing off natural 'blemishes' in the down that are sometimes visible through the jacket. These 'blemishes' are a great sign that the goose down used is of the utmost highest quality.

The outer and lining are finished with a PFC-free DWR coating (durable water repellent), which encourages light rain or snow to bead off the fabric. Just like the Hydrophobic treatment, PFC-free DWR (C0) is much more responsible than regular water-repellent treatments, as it doesn't use harmful forever chemicals that cause damage to the environment and ecosystems.

What are its features?

The Alpine 850 Nano feature set is reserved for the essentials only; the whole jacket is critically engineered for maximum performance and minimal weight.

An insulated hood provides warmth and protection from the elements. The hood features elasticated micro-binding around the edge to provide a snug, secure fit around the head, optimising thermal efficiency and comfort when underneath a climbing helmet. The jacket is fastened with a simple central zip that is lightweight to help keep overall bulk to a minimum.

The Alpine 850 Nano seams have been strategically placed throughout the jacket to minimise vertical seams, optimise fabric usability, lower bulk, and reduce cold spots, with the bonus of creating a clean and timeless aesthetic. The jacket uses synthetically insulated panels across the front of the face and the underarms for better moisture management and durability in high-wear, high-moisture areas.

For storage, you'll find two hand pockets with lightweight YKK zippers that offer space for a mobile phone, trail snacks and energy gels to keep you fueled during your adventure.

Finally, elasticated cuffs and a micro elasticated hem help seal in warmth and keep cold weather out of the jacket.
