What is the Aerofoil Full-Zip?
This jacket is an incredibly light, softshell layer providing exceptional wind protection for high summits and exploring new routes in the mountains. Designed with convenience and functionality in mind, stuff the jacket into the built-in stuffsack when the gales have died down for minimal fuss and less bulk.
What is it made of?
Mountain Equipment has crafted this jacket with its durable Exolite 45 double weave. This fabric has been developed and tested to withstand hard-hitting winds whilst offering a breathable layer for optimum comfort.
What are its features?
Starting at the top of the jacket, an elastane bound Mountain Hood with a rear adjustment offers a more personal fit and extra shelter from the elements. The hood is helmet compatible and is constructed with the same softshell fabric as the body for maximum windproof protection.
The sleeves of the jacket are articulated and pre-shaped to improve freedom of movement, perfect for Alpine climbing or simply hitting the rocks at your local crag. Cuffs are elastane bound, allowing more flexibility around the wrists for more technical climbing jobs.
The hem of the jacket has a drawcord adjustment which can help you maximise its wind resistance if you're up at higher altitudes. Overlocking and top stitching help reinforce seams to create a durable, high quality layer.
The napoleon chest pocket offers storage for essentials like a phone, GPS or some snacks to keep you energised throughout the day, sealed with a zip fastening for extra security.
Whether you're walking the dog in your local country park or exploring mountains in the Lakes, putting the jacket on or taking it off in a hurry will be no problem. There is a chunky YKK® centre front zip for easy access, accommodating you in rapidly changeable conditions.
When you're finished with the lightweight layer, tuck it away into the built in packable stuffsack for compact storage. If you don't want to stow away the stuffsack deep into your kit bag, two twin karabiner loops give you a choice to hook it up and keep it out for later.
