What is the Ditch Rider 32L?
It's a 32-litre unisex backpack with versatile storage options, durability and comfort. The Ditch Rider makes the perfect companion for done-in-a-day activities or lightweight one-night stays. So, whether hiking, hill walking, camping, or even running errands around town during the week, you'll be kept comfortable and supported throughout your adventure.
What is it made of?
Main material: Mipan® regen robic nylon provides maximum abrasion resistance for rugged environments. It's puncture and tear-resistant, and features a solution-dyed ripstop grid for maximum durability to ensure it lasts years of adventures.
Though durable, this fabric doesn't compromise when it comes to the environment! It's a GRS-certified recycled material with an environmentally friendly UTS coating, giving it some extra eco-friendly credentials.
Base: The bottom of the pack is reinforced with heavy-duty twill to ensure the pack doesn't simply wear away after taking a beating. So, no matter if you're using it daily for the morning commute, fetching the groceries or taking it into burly mountain terrain at the weekend, the Ditch Rider won't end up ditching all your belongings after splitting at the bottom like a flimsy plastic bag.
Lining: Inside is lined with nylon taffeta, another super durable fabric that helps to protect belongings inside and provides a smart finish without adding excessive bulk.
Carry system: The shoulder straps, hip belt and backpanel use a stretchy, woven fabric that provides comfort and enhanced breathability to minimise sweat build-up under crucial contact points.
Which back system does it use?
The Ditch Rider uses a contoured, anatomically curved backpanel featuring body-mapped foam that provides a more precise fit, optimising comfort and support for longer adventures and heavier loads.
Ventilation at the back ensures reduced sweat build-up in more prone areas, which is especially handy for hiking and adventuring in warmer conditions.
Support is enhanced with the Hoist Compression system. This system pulls the weight into your back and upward to relieve tension and give a positive load transfer.
An Open Range Hipbelt enhances stability without compromising freedom of movement. The belt is articulated to provide a secure, comfortable fit that doesn't feel restrictive, whether travelling across flat ground or tackling a steep incline.
Contoured shoulder straps sit over the shoulders more precisely, helping to prevent the weight from the load from being pulled down into your shoulders and lower back, potentially causing pains and aches - the last thing you want on a fun day out in the hills!
What are its features?
The 32-litre capacity and unisex fit of the Ditch Rider make it an incredibly versatile piece of kit to add to your collection.
Top load access and a roll-top closure provide secure, weather-resistant, yet accessible entry. A two-side webbing buckle closure also helps to keep everything secure whilst doubling up as a compression strap, allowing you to minimise the volume of your pack when it's not fully loaded.
It has a full-zip back panel that gives you duffel-style access to the interior, which is handy when you need to grab something right at the bottom of the bag.
An adjustable sternum strap helps keep the shoulder straps in place and prevents them from slipping off.
Inside, an internal hydration pocket can store water bladders of up to two litres. The pocket has a built-in bladder hook to keep it from slumping right to the bottom, a discreet routing port for drinking tubes and a hose clip to keep the tube from flapping around as you move.
There are plenty of organisation options with the Ditch Rider. Two stretchy mesh side pockets are ideal for carrying water bottles and travel mugs. The front quick-stash pocket is perfect for slipping a map or guidebook into, while the two front zip pockets allow you to securely stow away more valuable essentials like keys, a mobile phone or a wallet.
Webbing and bungee cord loops and an external daisy chain attachment are also great for storing more bulky items or trekking poles without wasting valuable space inside.
Last but not least, if you're in a hurry and don't have time to fully mount the pack, you can use the top grab handle to carry it.
