What is the Ultra 15?
It's a running vest designed to act like a backpack without weighing you down or setting you off balance on the trails. The Ultra 15 is super comfy and offers 15-litres of capacity to fit everything from water bottles and energy gels to doggy bags, GPS devices and extra shell layers for wet conditions.
What is it made of?
40D Ripstop offers durability where you need it most, increasing the longevity of the vest to withstand years of regular use in rugged terrain. It's lightweight and not bulky either, so you won't need to worry about being weighed down - in total, the vest weighs in at just 265g!
Strategically placed Elastic Airmesh panels allow maximum airflow to ventilate the vest during intense activity. It's lovely and flexible and feels smooth and comfy next to the skin, giving total freedom of movement instead of being rigid or restrictive.
Both materials are PFC-free. This means they don't contain per-fluorinated chemicals that are harmful to the environment, earning this vest some bonus eco-friendly credentials.
What are its features?
It sits relatively high when you wear it to lessen the wobble as you run and give you more space around the midsection to breathe and move. The harness feels comfortable and is wide to balance out the weight and stop straps from feeling like they're digging into your shoulders when worn.
For hydration, you've got a couple of options. There are mesh pockets on the front that hold soft flasks, and the vest is also drinking system compatible. You can easily hook up a hydration bladder and tube to keep your fluids easily accessible and out of the way.
The waterproof pocket gives you somewhere to store valuables that you don't want to get caught in the rain, such as a mobile phone.
A larger zipped pocket on the back makes ideal storage for essentials like house keys and energy gels, whilst the athletic main compartment is perfect for stowing an extra shell layer for wet conditions.
Compression straps allow you to cinch in the load on the back and remove any dead space to keep contents from bouncing around inside.
If you're a fan of running poles, then you're in luck! The Ultra 15 has extra attachments on the back of the pack to fix walking and running poles to when they're not being used.
To finish the design, branding and reflective details are printed onto the material to give you extra visibility after hours.
