What is the Double Dreamer 4 Tent?
The Double Dreamer is a spacious four-person tent with a comfortable head height and all-weather performance. After a long and adventurous day, it makes a great base to return to, rest, recharge and prepare for the next day's pursuit.
What is it made of?
Flysheet: The sheet uses Robens HydroTex HD, a high-density fabric with a 75-denier construction. It's lightweight yet durable and robust enough to withstand a beating from regular use, for many years.
Created from 100% PU-coated polyester with taped seams that make it completely waterproof. With a hydrostatic head rating of 5,000mm, this flysheet offers reliable performance and excellent protection in harsher conditions. Treated with UV-inhibitors to protect your tent from sun damage, it's also fire retardant for safety.
Inner tent: The inner tent is made with 68D polyester, which provides substantial protection from unwanted insects and maximises breathability to help reduce condensation overnight. The inner tent is made from blackout fabric to help reduce the amount of light that enters the tent.
Floor: The sewn-in groundsheet is made from a durable 75D PU-coated polyester Taffeta. It has a Hydrostatic head rating of 10,000mm providing ample protection and reliability on damp ground, without adding too much weight or bulk to the overall design.
Poles: The poles are constructed from 14.5mm aluminium 6061. A metal with a great strength-to-weight ratio that has been anodised to increase it's corrosion resistance and overall durability for keen campers to get the most out of this tent!
What are its features?
Construction: The pre-shaped aluminium poles are easily attached to the flysheet with pole clips and sleeves. The poles and pole sleeves are all colour-coded and the groundsheet is sewn in, making it a nice and easy tent to pitch. With a bit of practice, it can be pitched ready in 8 minutes and fully secured in 14 minutes.
Entry: The dual entry offers flexible access, whilst the rain-safe side entry protects from the elements, allowing you to keep the inner of your tent dry on wet days.
When the front door is opened, it can be secured out of the way with the well-placed tie-backs or double up as a canopy with additional poles (sold separately).
Space: With room for four people to sleep, this two-bedroom tunnel tent has an adaptable screen divider that can be toggled out of the way to create more space inside the tent.
With a maximum head height of 175 cm, there is comfortable space to stand in the living quarters allowing you to easily clean up, cook and catch up with family and friends over dinner and a brew.
Although the bedrooms are not quite standing height for adults, they offer a spacious head height of 160cm, leaving plenty of room to change and relax before drifting off to sleep.
Storage: The front of the inner tent features four mesh pockets that can be used to keep the living area tidy and organised. There are also mesh pockets inside the inner tent for storing power banks, charging cables and mobile phones.
A well-placed hanging point provides the perfect place to hang your lantern or head torch to effectively light your tent at night. A gear rope down the middle of the tent allows you to air out damp clothes overnight.
A zip opening in the flysheet provides a convenient and tidy electric hook-up should you require it.
Ventilation: Two protected vents are built into the end of the tent, creating a healthy airflow while keeping the elements at bay. To increase airflow, a low vent feature rolls up and toggles back the bottom door panels to help reduce condensation.
Both doors and the window have a three-layer construction consisting of a mesh screen, tinted PVC window and a privacy curtain that can be toggled out of the way. This structure allows you to control the ventilation, light and privacy while keeping insects out. The mesh panels allow air to flow freely through the tent when unzipped, although this feature best suits dry conditions, as nobody wants a wet tent.
Guys, Attachments & Pegs: The simple yet ingenious flexible fabric loop connects the flysheet, pole and guylines. It acts as a storm guard spreading the strain of severe wind gusts across the whole tent, providing extra stability in high winds.
Guyline retainers allow you to neatly store them when packing down your tent, avoiding any annoying tangled lines when you next pitch your tent.
Aluminium buckles and tension handles on the pegging corners provide a strong foundation for the tent, allowing you to easily adjust the tension of the fly when pegging out.
Snap connectors join the inner tent to the flysheet and allow easy removal of the inner tent for versatile use and tent maintenance.
Additional extras: Extra poles are available to purchase separately, which allow you to convert the front door into an open canopy.
