What is the Durian Hooded Jacket?
It's a fleece jacket that performs almost like a softshell. With its harder, more durable face, the Durian provides ample protection and performance for mixed conditions and terrain. Whether climbing, mountaineering or hiking across rugged landscapes, the Durian works well as a warm midlayer in the depths of winter or a light yet robust outer layer for shoulder seasons.
What is it made of?
The Durian comprises micro-grid, stretchy fleece made from recycled polyester and elastane. It has a tough outer, providing maximum durability against jagged rocks and rough terrain, yet feels super soft and cosy inside. Not only does the material keep you warm, but it's also wind-resistant and moisture-wicking to keep sweat build-up at bay when you're working hard.
What are its features?
Built with an Active Fit, this hooded fleece can easily slip underneath a waterproof shell jacket for wet days on the hill. It also gives the jacket a cleaner look, making it more versatile for everyday activities such as commuting to work, doing the weekly shopping or walking the dog in the morning.
An elastane-bound hood cinches material to keep the warmth in and the breeze out, without feeling restrictive and uncomfortable.
The construction uses overlocking and top-stitching to provide next-to-skin comfort, should you be wearing a t-shirt underneath.
For storage, there are two zipped hand pockets, and one zipped Napoleon chest pocket that works perfectly for snacks, energy gels or a mobile phone.
A centre front zip provides easy access, while thumb loops at the end of each sleeve help to prevent the sleeves from riding up your arm when you're trying to put another jacket on over the top.
