What is the Singi Padded Vest?
The Singi Padded Vest is a padded, lightly insulated gilet that keeps you warm between seasons. It combines functionality with durability and style, and would look just as good in the country as on the high street, thanks to its on-trend, workwear style design.
What is it made of?
This vest is made with Fjallraven's very own G1000® Silent Eco face fabric and 100% recycled polyester padding.
G1000® is renowned for being super tough, breathable and adaptable, thanks to the lovely Fjallraven Greenland wax. If you were wondering, G1000® Silent Eco is a less rustly, more eco-friendly version of the standard G1000® material, making it even more pleasant to wear in relaxed, casual environments. It's made with a combination of recycled polyester and organic cotton, which will last for years without looking shabby and helps reduce environmental impact by cutting waste and using cleaner, organic materials.
To make the gilet more weather resistant, you can apply Greenland Wax to the G1000® - this will increase water and wind resistance, however will reduce breathability. It's super easy and simple to apply; for a quick 'how-to', watch our YouTube guide here.
What are its features?
Two large bellowed chest pockets are ideal for storing a small purse or mobile phone. There are also two zipped, insulated hand pockets for chilly autumnal days and smaller belongings like keys or loose cash. For added functionality, whether working in a workshop or doing a little bushcraft outside, there's also a knife pocket and utility loop for attaching small tools.
You can close the front using the press button closures. These buttons are repairable, so if you ever lose a button (which is unlikely) or as the jacket ages (we're talking years here, by the way), you can easily replace them to look as good as new.
This vest has a relaxed fit, allowing plenty of room for layers underneath. It also works really nicely as a baggy, oversized fit for shoulder seasons, whether you're wearing jeans, cargo pants or technical trousers.
