What is the Merced Wind Shirt?
It's the perfect shirt for those days when you don't want to wear a jacket but could do with a little extra protection from drizzly showers or that chilly breeze. Whether relaxing around camp, hiking at the weekend or even heading into town, the Merced Wind Shirt offers water and wind-resistant protection and a lightweight, casual design.
What is it made of?
This shirt comprises a blend of recycled nylon and elastane, combining longevity and freedom of movement for maximum, all-day comfort. The quick-drying, wind-resistant material (with a 7.5 CFM wind rating) features an eco-friendly, C0 water-repellent finish, offering light protection without excessive weight and bulk, making it the ideal alternative to a jacket. However, please note this does not mean it's 100% waterproof; therefore, it will not keep you wholly shielded in heavy downpours or when exposed to heavy rain for longer periods.
What are its features?
The front has a traditional button-down configuration with plastic snap closures that help reduce weight without compromise.
Two-piece sleeves and elasticated cuffs promote ample freedom of movement whilst helping to keep the wind out. Vents on the side seams enhance temperature regulation without exposing you to the wind, as your arms will sit over the top.
A signature Merced pocket on the left chest provides various organisation options, including a velcro drop-in pocket and a zippered mesh pocket. There's also a hidden, right-entry snap pocket on the right of the chest and two zippered hand pockets strategically placed for easier access.
