What are the Karakoram Pants?
The waterproof Karakoram Mountain Pants are commonly seen in serious environments all over the world. This is because they are stupidly rugged and versatile, thanks to their three layer Drilite construction and reinforced weave.
What are they made of?
These hardshell trousers are made from a Drilite fabric, which has a hydrostatic head of 20,000mm and a breathability rating of 20,000g/sqm/24h; Waterproof and breathable. Need I say more?
The face fabric is a 70D fabric with a 160D reinforced weave, so it can take quite a few scrapes from jagged rock and challenging terrain, likewise with the reinforced kick-strips, which add durability when wearing skis and crampons.
What are their features?
They have full length, two-way YKK zips with an internal storm flap on both sides for ventilation, a two-way moulded front zip and a drop rear seat (crap flap) for when nature calls.
Adjustable braces help to keep these trousers up and in place, so you don't have to worry about them fitting poorly around the waist and falling down every five minutes. The fixed internal gaiter keeps out unwanted snow and water, helping to protect your boots and lower leg.
