90-day returns period

We hope that you are perfectly happy with your order from Trekitt, but we understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. We offer a 90-day returns period from the date of purchase and aim to process all returns within 48 working hours of receipt. During exceptionally busy periods, returns may take up to 7 working days to be processed.
Please note: Our DPD Returns Portal is temporarily unavailable for a couple of weeks while we make improvements to the service. During this time, customers will need to arrange their own return postage.
We do not offer a free returns service. Customers returning items using their own postal service and our returns form are responsible for any postage costs when returning goods (excluding warranty returns).

Zips are typically not covered under a manufacturer's warranty.

Please take care when packaging your returning order as customers will be liable for any exceptions or surcharges incurred for incorrectly packaged returns. You will be informed via email of the value of the charges which will be deducted form your refund amount.

To return an item to us, you must first:

If you feel that your item is defective/broken/faulty and it is still under warranty, please contact our Customer Support team ([email protected]) with as much information as possible with regards to the fault, including photos if applicable.

In return, they will supply you with a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN), a Returns Form and a FREE postage label. Please complete the returns form with as much detail as possible and include it with your item.

We cannot make any decisions before inspecting any claim. Should the item be found genuinely faulty, we aim to reach a fair and agreed solution, which may be a refund, a replacement or a professional repair.

We do not offer exchanges. Instead we ask you kindly to complete a new order for the desired replacement and return the unwanted Good(s) for a refund. We acknowledge that this might seem more complicated, we can assure you it is by far the most efficient and fastest way to ensure that you receive the goods you require.

Any returns sent back requesting an exchange will be refunded in line with our returns process.

You can exchange internet purchases at the Trekitt Service Centre in Hereford, to speed things along please remember to present the sales invoice supplied by us in respect of such Goods as proof of purchase. Once our Returns Team has processed your refund, you will receive a new e-receipt showing the returned item(s). After this you should expect to see your funds back in your account within 3 to 5 working days, depending on how your card provider processes refunds.

Refunds can only be made to the original payment method and are normally processed within 2 working days, however, during busy periods they can take up to 7 days.

Once our Returns Team has processed your refund, you will receive a new e-receipt showing the returned item(s). After this you should expect to see your funds back in your PayPal account that same day.

If you feel that your item is defective/broken/faulty and it is still under warranty, please contact our Customer Support team([email protected])with as much information as possible with regards to the fault, including photos if applicable.

We want to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible, the first step for this is reducing our waste. Therefore, please note that we will always offer a professional repair in the first instance; if the product can be repaired.

This may involve your product being sent back to our suppliers or to a professional repair company. Please note that due tovaried procedures, warranty claims and repairs can take between 2 and 4 weeks to be concluded

What are the Mythic Shorts?

They're lightweight and packable insulated shorts that use 800FP European Goose Down for a boost of warmth when the pace slows. They're ideal for winter belaying, mountaineering, climbing, or setting up camp at high altitudes.

What are they made from?

Insulation: The Mythic Shorts are filled with 74g of 800FP European Goose Down with a Fluorocarbon-Free Hydrophobic finish, with PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation used across the seat for improved weather resistance.

European Goose Down is fantastic quality down - it has larger clusters than Duck Down which improves the warmth to weight ratio. These clusters are made up of tiny feather strands that trap heat. The down is treated with a fluorocarbon-free hydrophobic finish, which adds light water resistance to the down itself. This helps the down maintain its thermal performance in damp environments, as it's no secret that down and moisture don't like each other!

Rab has used PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation across the seat to ensure optimal thermal efficiency even when wet. PrimaLoft® Gold is a cosy and breathable synthetic insulation that's highly efficient with low bulk and weight. The small fibres of this insulation provide excellent thermal efficiency; they're thinner than human hair, and the thinner the fibres, the warmer the insulation will be.

Can't quite catch the lingo? Here's a quick break down.

Fill power - Fill power measures the warmth and efficiency of the down, alongside its ability to loft/fluff up. A rating of 800 fill power means that 1oz of this down fills 800 cubic inches of space when fully lofted. R.D.S - The Responsible Down Standard ensures that the down is sourced from happy birds who haven't been plucked and have been well cared for.

Hydrophobic - Hydrophobic down dries out and lofts quicker, resisting moisture from sweat that may build up as you warm up inside the jacket. Fluorocarbon free Hydrophobic finishes don't use harmful chemicals that cause damage to the environment and our ecosystems.

Fabrics: Rab has used 20D Pertex® Quantum Pro for the jacket's outer and 10D Pertex® Quantum nylon ripstop for the lining for maximum loft and protection from the elements.

Pertex® Quantum fabrics are created from recycled materials and use tightly woven fibres for excellent wind resistance and durability whilst still being lightweight and soft. They are designed to perfectly balance wind resistance and breathability, providing the ultimate performance for intense mountain missions.

The Pertex® Quantum Pro outer has a microporous coating and is treated with a fluorocarbon-free DWR (durable water repellent) that encourages rain and snow to bead off the material instead of soaking in, to provide excellent water resistance, making it more suitable for use in cold or damp environments where keeping warm and dry is crucial. However, please note this does not make the shorts waterproof.

The Pertex® Quantum lining is effective at trapping still air, helping to warm the insulation and maintain its efficiency whilst creating a light, protective barrier from the elements.

What are their features?

The shorts feature a comfortable waistband with dual hook and loop waist adjustments to allow you to cinch them in and enhance fit over various layers and trouser styles.

Full-length one-way YKK® side zips allow quick and easy on-offs without having to remove your boots, reducing time spent faffing in the cold.

A relaxed fit, coupled with precurved knees provide a natural, unrestricted range of movement, offering flexibility for various tasks such as bending down and crouching when setting up basecamp.

The shorts feature a stitch-through baffle construction, which helps reduce weight and increases packability, whilst also helping to further improve mobility.

Once you're down with the shorts, you can quickly pack them away in the provided lightweight stuff sack, allowing them to take up minimal space in your pack, ready to be deployed when the pace slows.
