Consumer Contract Regulations (CCR)

What are the Consumer Contract Regulations?

Under the "Consumer Contract Regulations, you have the right to cancel an order for goods made at a distance. These rights start from the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

Your right to cancel

Your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

This 14 day period is the time you have to decide whether to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to actually send the goods back.

Your Right to a Refund under CCR

You may get a refund within 14 days of either, the trader getting the goods back, or you providing evidence of having returned the goods (for example, a proof of postage receipt from the post office), whichever is the sooner.

A deduction can be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary. The extent to which you can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop.

Refunding the cost of delivery

The trader has to refund the basic delivery cost of getting the goods to you in the first place, so if you opted for enhanced service e.g. guaranteed next day, it only has to refund the basic cost.

Exemptions

There are some circumstances where the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not give you a right to cancel. These include CDs, DVDs or software if you've broken the seal on the wrapping, perishable items and tailor-made or personalised items. They also include goods with a seal for health protection and hygiene reasons that have been broken or tampered with, e.g. Climbing Equipment and PPE.

My goods are broken

If you feel that your item is defective/broken/faulty and it is still under warranty, please contact our Customer Support team([email protected])with as much information as possible with regards to the fault, including photos if applicable.

We want to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible, the first step for this is reducing our waste. Therefore, please note that we will always offer a professional repair in the first instance; if the product can be repaired.

This may involve your product being sent back to our suppliers or to a professional repair company. Please note that due tovaried procedures, warranty claims and repairs can take between 2 and 4 weeks to be concluded

Rab Women's Kinetic Alpine Stretch Pants Black

Season:AW26

Brand:Rab

Code:QWI-96-BLK

What are the Rab Kinetic Alpine Stretch Pants?

The Kinetic Alpine Stretch Pants are highly protective, breathable and stretchy waterproof shell trousers, designed for big mountain days and challenging high alpine adventures when freedom of movement and dependable weather protection are essential.

Created from 3-layer Pertex® Shield with a flexible 4-way stretch and excellent articulation, they offer the comfort of softshell trousers, moving naturally with you as you negotiate challenging terrain or gnarly ascents without compromising waterproof protection.

Materials & Technology

Pertex® Shield 3-Layer Fabric

The Kinetic Alpine Stretch Pants are built from 40D three-layer PERTEX® Shield, which is a soft, stretchy and highly breathable, waterproof fabric designed for low bulk protection in the mountains when weight, mobility and breathability are key.

The trousers' three-layer construction combines a waterproof, windproof and breathable membrane, robust 40D polyamide face fabric with 4-way stretch and a soft backer. The 40-denier nylon outer offers good levels of abrasion resistance for regular use in the mountains while remaining lightweight and flexible enough not to hold you back on challenging ascents. The thin waterproof and windproof membrane provides reliable protection from the elements. A soft backer protects the waterproof membrane from abrasion and improves next-to-skin comfort and durability when worn over base layers.

Although the material is only 40 denier thick, it feels reassuringly sturdy and comfortable to wear for big mountain days, when the weather's not playing ball.

4-Way Stretch Construction

The PERTEX® Shield outer fabric features a 4-way mechanical stretch, which, combined with a pre-articulated cut, provides exceptional freedom of movement and mobility, making them super comfortable and practical for all manner of mountain pursuits in wet conditions. From hiking to alpine climbing, ski-touring to mountaineering, these fantastic waterproof shell trousers offer unrelenting protection and all-day comfort.

Waterproof Performance

This impressive Pertex® Shield material delivers an exceptional hydrostatic head rating of 30,000mm for dependable waterproof protection in prolonged wet conditions, and a breathability MVTR score of 25,000 g/m2/24hrs, to allow excess heat and moisture to easily escape throughout the day to keep you feeling comfortable on challenging routes and summit pushes.

Fluorocarbon-Free DWR Finish

The outer fabric is finished with a fluorocarbon-free DWR (durable water repellent) coating to encourage rain to bead off the trousers' surface rather than soaking into the face fabric (also known as wetting out). This further enhances the trousers' waterproof properties and helps protect the waterproof membrane, without the use of harmful forever chemicals.

Features and Functionality

Fully Articulated Construction

As mentioned above, the trousers feature a fully articulated fit to enhance freedom of movement and mobility when tackling steep ascents and technical mountain terrain. This articulated cut makes them an excellent choice for high altitude climbing and ice climbing when the weather's not on your side.

Adjustable Waist

The trousers are fastened with a simple YKK® fly and feature a low-profile semi-adjustable hook-and-loop waistband to allow you to refine the fit over various layers to ensure they won't start slipping down as you move.

Mountain Ready Pocket Layout

For storage, you'll find three YKK® AquaGuard® pockets for secure storage of quick access essentials such as a GPS device, energy gels and snacks. The pocket layout includes one thigh pocket and two hand pockets, which have been designed to remain accessible when wearing a harness and keep the contents well out of the way when climbing and stepping up high.

Thigh Ventilation

Two side zips on the thighs provide effective ventilation by allowing excess heat to escape during demanding ascents or periods of higher activity. The zips feature two-way zippers to allow you to easily tailor the amount of ventilation in relation to the conditions, to keep you dry and comfortable throughout the day.

Adaptable Ankle Gusset

The trousers feature a zipped hem gusset that can expand the lower leg to allow the trousers to easily accommodate chunky mountaineering boots and ski boots. This helps keep the fit of the trousers slim enough around the lower leg for good foot placements on technical terrain, whilst adding enough versatility for a wide range of mountain activities.

RECCO® Reflector

The trousers feature an integrated RECCO® reflector, which provides a passive transponder that helps make you visible to mountain rescue teams in the event of an avalanche or outdoor emergency.

It's a clever little bit of kit that you won't even notice you're wearing! Recco Reflectors don't need any activation, power or function to do their magic as they already consist of a diode and antenna. Each Recco Reflector is built to last and will not age; it would only ever wear out if it was mechanically damaged.

Key Features

  • Stretchy and breathable 3-layer Pertex® Shield for added protection in unpredictable weather
  • Integrated RECCO® reflector, a passive transponder searchable to professional rescuers in the event of an avalanche or outdoor emergency
  • Fully articulated fit for enhanced freedom of movement
  • Semi-adjustable hook-and-loop waistband and YKK® fly
  • 3 YKK® AquaGuard® external pockets; 1 thigh pocket and 2 hand pockets
  • 2 YKK® zipped thigh vents for dumping excess heat
  • Zipped hem gusset to be flexible across both alpine and ski-based activities

How do the Kinetic Alpine Stretch Pants fit?

The Kinetic Alpine Stretch Pants feature Rab's Regular Fit, meaning they are true to size. Whilst their articulated construction and 4-way stretch fabric provide excellent freedom of movement for versatile, active mountain use.
